Understanding Neurodiversity: Embracing the Spectrum of Minds
Neurodiversity is a concept that recognizes and celebrates the natural variation in human neurological conditions. It asserts that neurological differences, such as autism, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), should be viewed as part of the normal spectrum of human diversity rather than as disorders to be pathologized. In embracing neurodiversity, society moves towards acceptance and inclusion of individuals with diverse neurological experiences.
